JOB TITLE:                FITNESS CENTER RECEPTIONIST II

                                    (Nonexempt)

DEPARTMENT:        GOODWILL FITNESS CENTER

 

DIVISION:                HUMAN SERVICES

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To perform receptionist functions and provide clerical support to the Fitness Center Physical Therapy program.  Duties include; scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out of their appointments, collecting co-payments and entering information into Physical Therapy database system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Greets visitors to Roger A. Severson Fitness & Tech Center.

 

  1. Answers phone calls and directs callers to the proper extension or takes necessary messages.

 

  1. Answers Physical Therapy desk phone calls and schedules appointments with PT clinicians.

 

  1. Verifies insurance for each PT patient and collects co-payments as necessary.

 

  1. Sends out brochures and other documentation on behalf of the Physical Therapy program.

 

  1. Inputs client data into the Physical Therapy software system.

 

  1. Performs copying, filing, sorting, and collating duties.

 

  1. Works overtime as required.

 

  1. Performs other job related duties as required.

 

  1. Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property.

 

  1. Acts safely at all times, following all safety rules and regulations.

 

  1. Follows all company policies and procedures.

 

  1. Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork. Assists and shares knowledge and information with other employees as needed.

 

  1. Uses good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, sensitivity, politeness, and thoughtfulness.

 

  1. Works with, trains, and/or acts as a good example for program participants receiving training at Goodwill.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. High School diploma or GED.

 

  1. Two years' experience in a fast-paced, high call volume environment; health care industry experience a plus.

 

  1. Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.

 

  1. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Various office supplies and equipment including: telephone, fax machine, adding machine, computer, printer, copy machine, file cabinets, papers/forms, calendar, pens/pencils, ruler, scissors, etc.
