AREA:                        ATTENDED DONATION CENTERS








To provide guidance to ADC attendants regarding job-related issues, and ensure donation site compliance with operational, safety and Human Resources policies and procedures. 





This position works under the direct supervision of both the Remote ADC Supervisor and the ADC/ Transportation Logistics Manager.




This position provides daily work direction to Donation Center Attendants and program participants.




  1. Trains and coaches ADC attendants, employee trainees, and program participants, providing feedback regarding job duties; evaluates and oversees attendants and program participants; acts as a resource to resolve job-related issues, and issues disciplinary actions as appropriate to ensure positive results.


  1. Opens and closes warehouse.


  1. Provides daily inventory of donated product.


  1. Replenishes ADC site supplies such as paperwork, first aid, gloves, bags, receipts, water, etc.


  1. Assumes responsibility for the following functions:


  1. Procedures outlined in ADC manual are followed at all sites, e.g., the interior and exterior areas of the warehouse are maintained in a neat and presentable condition.


  1. Ensures asset protection policies are maintained at warehouse.


  1. Daily reports on warehouse status and appearance, specifically call in/call outs/inventory.


  1. Company property is safeguarded at sites through proper handling of donations.


  1. Safety and departmental policies and procedures are followed.


  1. Attendants follow directions for calling in regarding absences and are counseled on attendance issues.


  1. Performance issues are addressed in a timely and consistent manner, or referred to next level of management as appropriate.


  1. Human Resources policies and procedures are followed.


  1. Data entry to track donation count, seal verification on incoming trailer/Bobtail, padlock and seal outgoing trailer/Bobtail, warehouse inventory, etc.


  1. Ensures that warehouse and attendants are within OSHA compliance.


  1. Ensures that donations are handled properly, including directing donors to correct drop off area for regular or furniture donations.


  1. Uses Company provided cellular phone to communicate and/or input pertinent information into fleet management, internal company, payroll applications, and other software applications (APPs) as required for reporting warehouse activity and status, completing job assignments, and documenting transportation and donation activity.


  1. Assists in preparing schedules that meet business needs in the most efficient, cost-effective manner. Reviews adequate staffing at warehouse.


  1. Ensures timecards are collected, signed, and submitted according to Payroll deadlines.


  1. Determines trailer pulls as required; provides status and/or Bobtail at warehouse.


  1. Works with Transportation management and Security as required to resolve issues related to area of responsibility.


  1. Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork.


  1. Inspects the condition of warehouse for compliance with safety rules of all outgoing trailers staged at warehouse and reports all warehouse issues detected to Transportation Manager.


  1. Conducts monthly safety meetings.


  1. Drives forklift, if certified, and palletizes donations.


  1. Ensures that grounds at warehouse are maintained.


  1. Works overtime as required.


  1. Performs other job related duties as required.


  1. Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property.


  1. Demonstrates safe behaviors at all times, following all safety rules and regulations.


  1. Follows all company policies and procedures.


  1. Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork. Assists and shares knowledge and information with other employees as needed.


  1. Uses good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, sensitivity, politeness, and thoughtfulness.


  1. Works with, trains, and/or acts as a good example for program participants receiving training at Goodwill.




  1. High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.


  1. Forklift training and certification will be provided by the company.


  1. Two years relevant experience including supervision; prior remote site experience desirable.


  1. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


  1. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.


  1. Valid CA driver's license and DMV record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company.
